Golden Gate, Circa Sports Owner Stevens Buys 1,000 Vegas Plane Tickets, Ballasts Sin City Reopening by Todd Shriber of Casino.org

“With Nevada gaming properties targeting a June 4 reopening, some operators are stepping up in a bid to lure tourists back to Las Vegas. Derek Stevens, the owner of Circa Sports, the D Las Vegas, and the Golden Gate Hotel & Casino, is buying 1,000 seats on various airlines from a slew of cities to get folks back to Sin City.

Circa Sports operations manager Jeffrey Benson said his team was waiting for a Tuesday news conference with Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak to provide more details on when the casinos can open. ‘We’re going to follow the guidelines set for us by the state, but we fully intend to open both our sportsbooks at The D and the Golden Gate,’ said Benson.
