Circa Sports opens new sportsbook at Tuscany Suites & Casino by Yogonet Gaming News

Last Monday’s opening marked the first time a Stevens sports book will operate outside of his casino lineup, which includes the Golden Gate and The D on Fremont Street. ‘We are thrilled to open a new Circa Sports satellite book right before March Hoops begins,’ said Derek Stevens. ‘Our location at Tuscany enhances the convenience to fund an account with Circa Sports and reach a broader range of customers.’

Las Vegas-based sports betting venture Circa Sports has continued to grow with the addition of a new satellite sportsbook at Tuscany Suites and Casino. The partnership, which was first detailed in September 2020 and initially stipulated a go-live date of March 1, 2021. marks Circa Sports’ first Las Vegas expansion outside of CEO Derek Stevens’ portfolio of properties.

Is Kentucky Derby now a 4-horse race? Insiders have answers by Ron Flatter of Horse Racing Nation

“Paul Zilm, risk supervisor, Circa Sports: ‘Mandaloun continues to fly under the radar. If he wins Saturday he should absolutely be part of the ‘Fab Five.’ And I do expect one more party crasher. Proxy, Risk Taking or someone like Soup And Sandwich, maybe. I just don’t think it can be this clear-cut before we even start the biggest preps.’

Odds to Win the 2021 NCAA Tournament: Is Your Sportsbook Giving You a Fair Price? by Steve Petrella of Action Network

I compared the hold at seven U.S. sportsbooks offered in at least four states using the Action Labs March Madness Insiders tool. Circa Sports is the undisputed futures king with almost always the lowest holds, but it’s only available in Colorado and Nevada.

“Joe DeSimone, sole owner of the The Pass, acquired the Eldorado Casino for an undisclosed price from Boyd Gaming Corp. in December. The property will have more than 350 slot machines, and Circa Sports will manage the casino’s sportsbook. A license for Circa at The Pass is expected to be heard by regulators in future weeks.

Las Vegas has two new favorites for the Kentucky Derby by Ron Flatter of Horse Racing Nation

Circa Sports reposted its futures about four hours after the news broke about Life Is Good’s training setback – and a half-hour after Hot Rod Charlie was an upset winner in the Louisiana Derby (G2). ‘Obviously, Life Is Good was our definitive favorite,’ said Paul Zilm, risk supervisor at Circa. ‘Him being injured and now off the Derby trail changes the picture completely. We had significant liability to him, but you hate seeing an injury sideline such a promising looking horse.’

Place your bets: March Madness and the growth of sports gambling by CBS News

An estimated 47 million Americans will place bets on March Madness this year, according to the American Gaming Association, with a lot of it happening in Las Vegas, which is where correspondent Luke Burbank found Nard Lamar making some wagers of his own. ‘I’ve done a few bets,’ Lamar said. ‘St. Louis is pretty good bet, and the Lakers.’ Even in the midst of a pandemic, Lamar and others were lined up to play their hunches at the Circa Casino Sportsbook.

Life Is Good’s injury jumbles Derby by Ron Flatter of VSiN

“Circa Sports offers yes-or-no betting with higher limits on the four or five shortest-priced choices in its futures. Will a particular horse win the Kentucky Derby? In the case of a “no” bet, immediate action is an advantage. It becomes a winner if the horse in question loses the Derby or does not even get there… Circa also offers multisport bets, so an odds-on wager for a horse not to win the Derby can be used to try to fatten a parlay.
