“After the event, I will be heading to Nevada to continue March Madness with Mims at two of the top sportsbooks in Las Vegas. Those venues are Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino and Circa Resort & Hotel. I will provide opening day tournament coverage of the action starting on March 17. I want to thank Jay Kornegay, John Murray, and Rosemary Rocco from Westgate for their gracious welcome and participation. Westgate has a stellar reputation for service and sports wagering. World Series Odds: Dodgers Favored To Win In MLB’s Expanded Playoffs by Kris Johnson of Gaming Today

“The only uncertainty revolved around the number of teams being added. MLB owners were pushing for 14, but the number ended up being an even dozen. As it stands now, 40% of MLB teams will make the postseason. Since teams have a better chance to make the playoffs, and the Nos. 3-6 seeds in each league have to play best-of-three first-round series, tweaks to futures prices were necessary.

Chris Bennett, Sportsbook Manager at Circa Sports, made some adjustments prior to the CBA deal being done. ‘When I read that they were gonna have 12 or 14 teams, I made some moves,’ Bennett said in a DM to Gaming Today. ‘Minor adjustments, but I did lower some longshots and raise some favorites.'”

Some Vegas oddsmakers are convinced Tom Brady’s return leaked, leading to a run on Bucs futures by Prince J. Grimes of ABC News

“With Tampa’s title odds at around 50-1, bets upwards of $10,000 came in Thursday at SuperBook, South Point and Circa Sports. SuperBook VP wonders if bettors had inside information on Tom Brady by Todd Dewey of Las Vegas Review-Journal

“After the initial ESPN report that Tom Brady was retiring from the NFL, Circa Sports moved Tampa Bay’s odds to win the 2023 Super Bowl from +850 to 12-1. But after The Associated Press reported that Brady, 44, informed Bucs general manager Jason Licht that he had not made a decision on his future, Circa lowered Tampa Bay’s odds to 9-1.”
