Circa | Sports in the News
XFL action slow in Week 1 by Micah Roberts of GamingToday.com
“Circa Sports signed a 15-year deal with Century Casinos to be an internet sports betting operator in Colorado with an app that is expected to launch on May 1 … Good luck to the rest of the Colorado sportsbook competition, because the product Circa offers is quickly going to be the most attractive with their odds and the fact that bettors can remotely register for the app and also fund it, unlike Nevada where you have to do sign up and fund inside brick and mortar shops.“
XFL Week 2 Lines and Sharp Plays by Frankie Taddeo of Sports Illustrated
“The various different rules compared to the NFL is making it difficult for oddsmakers to set appropriate spreads and totals. The biggest move in the Week 2 lines involves DC taking on New York. Circa Sports out in Vegas opened DC as a 2-point favorite, but that was quickly adjusted as we now see DC as a near full touchdown favorite at nearly every shop around Vegas.“
Colorado inches closer to legal sports betting with first licenses set to be issued next week by Tiney Ricciardi of The Denver Post
“This month, Century Casinos announced it would partner with the app Circa Sports Colorado to provide digital wagering through one of its three casinos starting May 1.“
Guardians vs. DC Defenders prediction, line: Take underdog in XFL clash by Dave Tuley of The New York Post
“The DC Defenders beat the Seattle Dragons, 31-19, last Saturday and everyone’s jumping on their bandwagon. Circa Sports in Las Vegas opened the Defenders as two-point home favorites over the Guardians and it was steamed up to -5¹/₂, which is where most other sportsbooks opened. The line went as high as -7¹/₂ before settling back down to -6¹/₂ at William Hill and other books as of Friday.“
Colorado could see seven sports gambling licenses issued this week by Erik Gibbs of CalvinAyre.com
“Century, already operating 11 venues in Colorado after being founded in 1992, has a deal with Circa Sports out of Vegas to offer mobile sports gambling…“

The team with the second best odds to land Tom Brady just moved to a new city where there are no existing fans, has the poorest owner in the NFL, an unpredictable, disloyal head coach and every year plays in Denver once and faces Patrick Mahomes twice?

Kenley Jansen firmly believes the Astros’ cheating scandal is “worse than steroids” and also betting on baseball. He suggested teams caught doing it shouldn’t qualify for the upcoming playoffs and added that “everybody in the world is laughing” at how MLB doled out punishment.
