This is no exception on New Year’s Eve, where everything is truly taken to the next level for an experience like no other. This year, the rooftop lounge is putting on one of the most extravagant Las Vegas New Year’s Eve parties that will make you feel like you’re on the top of the world as you close out the year and welcome the next.

Project BBQ New Year’s Party

Ring in the new year with a full and happy stomach. From 9pm to 1am, Project BBQ is hosting an all-you-can-eat (and drink!) barbeque party that is truly a unique (and delicious) way to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas. On top of a great meal, your NYE party reservation includes 2022 party favors and a Champagne toast at midnight. You can also join in the fun of downtown with your included wristband for the New Year’s Eve 80’s and 90’s Dance Party on Fremont Street that will include live entertainment you won’t want to miss. Re-entry is allowed between Project BBQ and Fremont Street, so you can eat and dance the night away as much as you’d like!

For $250 per person (tax and gratuity not included), you and your crew can book a high-top table for 4-6 people or the party table for 10-25 people. Small but hearty appetizers will be served all night for all-you-can-eat, with options such as brisket empanadas, BBQ chicken and elote tacos, and churro bites. You can amp up the extravagance by upgrading to the Hogstravaganza for an additional $1000 for the party table. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as tables and bar rails are standing-only with no chairs.

Space is limited to 100 guests, so be sure to reserve your spot soon!

NYE 80’s and 90’s Dance Party at Fremont Street Experience

As we move forward into 2022, why not have a throwback dance party? Ring in the new year with an 80’s and 90’s themed dance party at the Fremont Street Experience. Catch awesome performances from some of the biggest names of the era including Bobby Brown, Vanilla Ice, Village People, Tone Loc, and more! There will also be an EDM stage with Cirque-style entertainment to mix it up. Before the NYE fireworks go off at the Plaza, the Viva Vision screen will be sure to entertain above as the live music plays below.

Downtown Las Vegas NYE Fireworks

Start 2022 with a bang by marveling at the Plaza’s annual fireworks show that goes off right at midnight. The hotel offers multiple viewing areas of their explosive extravaganza, but you can also enjoy the fireworks from across Downtown Las Vegas – whether you’re walking around the Fremont Street Experience or celebrating at Legacy Club. If you’re staying at Circa Resort and want to have a relaxing night in to ring in the new year, you’ll have a great vantage point overlooking Stadium Swim and the Plaza Hotel New Year’s Eve fireworks display.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks on The Strip

As the clock strikes 12 midnight, the Strip will show off its New Year’s Eve fireworks celebration. The 2022 Las Vegas Strip fireworks display calls for fireworks to be shot from eight casino rooftops this year – MGM Grand, ARIA, Planet Hollywood, Caesars Palace, Treasure Island, The Venetian, Resorts World Las Vegas, and the STRAT. The fireworks show will last approximately 10 minutes and consist of more than 80,000 fireworks explosions choreographed to popular music that will make for a one-of-a-kind audio and visual performance to send off 2021.

What to Expect

Crowds & Road Closures

A big night calls for big crowds. More than 400,000 people are projected to ring in 2022 on the Las Vegas Strip, which is closed to traffic from Russell Road to Sahara Avenue beginning at 6pm. The nearly six-mile stretch of Las Vegas Boulevard turns into a giant block party of people celebrating on the streets and ringing in the New Year. If you’re trying to get around town other than on-foot, the Las Vegas monorail and rideshare options like Uber and Lyft will be your best bet – but expect longer wait times and surge pricing.

Prices

New Year’s Eve is the most popular night of the year to visit Vegas. It’s also the most expensive. Hotels can be triple or quadruple their usual costs, cover fees for clubs and bars will be higher, and catching a ride will be more expensive. Many celebrations require a paid reservation in advance, and some drinks and a champagne toast may be included in the reservation cost. Be prepared to drop some money as the ball drops! Experiencing the glitz and glam of Las Vegas while the fireworks go off as you toast champagne is totally worth it, though.

What to Wear

Even though Las Vegas weather will seem warm compared to where most people are traveling from, the desert gets cold and breezy at night. Layers are a huge plus when it comes to winter in Vegas. You’ll want to pack your favorite going-out looks and pair them with jackets and anything else that keeps you warm outside. If you’re going to an event, check the dress code to ensure you’re dressed appropriately. Another thing to remember: wear comfortable shoes! With roads closed off and a night of partying and walking, you want to avoid painful feet.

Above all else, expect to have fun! New Year’s Eve in Las Vegas is one of the most exciting experiences you can have. Parties everywhere you look, 6 miles of celebration, new friends all around you, larger-than-life champagne toasts, and huge fireworks displays all make for a Las Vegas NYE celebration that will start off 2022 in the best way possible. Be sure to make your party reservations and book a room at Circa Resort to be in the middle of all the action. Join us to ring in the new year and have the time of your life!
