Golden Gate casino – home of Las Vegas’ first shrimp cocktail – turns 115 years old by Ed Komenda of Yahoo News

The Golden Gate sold its 25 millionth shrimp cocktail in 1991. The hotel-casino celebrated with a party attended by the four Las Vegas mayors who served during the cocktail’s existence in Southern Nevada. The shrimp cocktail is no longer served at Golden Gate. But they’re available at Saginaw’s inside Fremont Street’s newest resort, Circa. If purchased with an entree between 3-5 a.m, they cost 99 cents.
