Sizing Up the Rural-Urban Travel Divide: Who’s Up and Who’s Down by Elaine Glusac of New York Times

“Ever the chameleon, Las Vegas continues to develop its leisure appeal… At the end of the month, the new Circa Resort & Casino, with the city’s largest sports book spread across three stories, is expected to open.

Circa features works by familiar local artists, Vegas Vickie by Janna Karel of Las Vegas Review-Journal

“Set among some of Las Vegas’ oldest landmarks, Circa will be the newest resort in the downtown Las Vegas corridor. While the rooftop of downtown’s tallest building provides views of the area and the Las Vegas Strip, and the Stadium Swim pool area faces the 135-by-41-foot LED screen, the resort’s interior showcases artworks that pay homage to the city’s roots. Iconic works such as the neon Vegas Vickie marquee and murals by well-known Las Vegas artists meld classic and modern within Circa’s restaurants, casino floor – and even the parking garage.

Circa to show off Vegas art decor by Mat Luschek of 3 News Las Vegas

“‘Circa will pay homage to Las Vegas and those who built this city, so it was important to have an art collection that reflected this,’ said Derek Stevens, CEO of Circa. ‘The property is going to be full of ‘wow’ moments and will showcase significant pieces from the homegrown talent of Las Vegas. We can’t wait to expand on and be a part of the legacy of the terrific Downtown art scene.’
